Thomas J Price Studio (TJP Studio) is an artist studio currently based in East London. The artist is represented by Hauser & Wirth Gallery and exhibits internationally.

This is a part-time (2-3 day per week) PAYE contracted position. The role requires working from the London studio and will involve a degree of flexibility on hours/days worked especially during install/exhibitions/art fairs and around travel dates. The job may require occasional national and international travel.

Competitive salary depending on skills, experience, and suitability.

General Job Role

You will be supporting the Studio Manager on administration and general tasks. The role requires thorough attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple projects in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be a highly organised, pro-active individual who brings enthusiasm to the work environment and who is interested to learn and be involved with the logistical running of an artist’s studio. You will report to the Studio Manager and primarily be tasked by the Studio Manager as well as occasionally by the Artist. Please note this is not a creative job role.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining and updating website and database

• Monitoring studio and materials stock, liaising with Studio Manager for ordering

• Running calendar, bookings and expense accounting

• Monitoring and responding to general email enquiries as directed by Studio Manager

• Organisation and maintenance of physical and digital archives

• Daily studio organisation and maintenance typically involving re-organising equipment, general tidying, washing up

• Off-site storage organisation and monitoring with Studio Manager

Essential Skills, Abilities and Personal Attributes:

• High degree of administration skills

• Previous experience as Administrator or Personal Assistant or similar

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite, Spreadsheet experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent time-management, and organisation

• Ability to work to their own initiative and to multiple deadlines

• Ability to plan and problem solve effectively and efficiently

• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently

• Willingness to learn additional skills as required

• A keen eye for detail

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience with Art logic and Squarespace

• Experience managing or running a social media account

• Good photography skills

• Languages skills
